Selecting a Personal Trainer is one of the most important steps that you can take towards the goal of improved health. This decision is a representation of a commitment of both your time and money, and will go a long way towards helping you achieve your fitness goals.
Personal trainers are highly trained professionals, and most hold a Bachelors degree in exercise science and, or in addition, are licensed physical therapists or athletic trainers. When you are interviewing potential trainers, be sure to ask about their certifications and accreditations, and whether they are affiliated with the National Commission for Certifying Agencies, or NCAA. Keep in mind, however, that certifications that have been accreditated recently may not be listed on the website, which is why you shold also request to see a hardcopy of the certification whenever possible.
Make sure to check with your doctor before you begin an exercise program or new fitness regime, and let your physician know if you are considering the addition of dietary supplements to your new routine as well, since they will be able to suggest |
